• Biochemical Genetics- Fat Oxidation, Organic Acidurias, Glycogenoses
• Acquired Metabolic Disorders of Children and Adults
• Investigation for Developing More Effective Treatment of Fat Oxidation Defects, Organic Acidurias, and Glycogenoses
Current Research:
Collaborative studies nationally and internationally for development of new effective therapies for inherited and acquired disorders of metabolism. Current emphasis is on disorders affecting branched-chain amino acids, fat oxidation, and glycogenoses.
Ongoing Research Studies:
The Institute of Metabolic Disease at Baylor is currently conducting a research study entitled, “Dietary Therapy for Inherited Disorders of Mitochondrial Fat Oxidation and Glycogenoses.”
