Everolimus

Everolimus is a derivative of sirolimus.  Everolimus works similarly to Rapamycin as an mTOR inhibitor.  Everolimus is in the FDA approval process and is expected to be approved in 2009.

Department: Mass Spectrometry Lab
Methodology: HPLC and tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS)

Sample:
• Whole blood (EDTA) lavender top – 250ul
Handling:
Whole blood – freeze and store at -20ºC until shipped
Shipping:
• Whole blood - Ship sample overnight with 3-4 lbs of dry ice using a guaranteed overnight courier.

Special Notes: This research test must be coordinated through the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory Director. Most research tests are performed on a batch basis; the laboratory will not perform single sample testing. Contact the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory Director for more information.
