The Perinatal and Neonatal Outreach Program at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas
Developmental Care in the Term and Preterm Infant Application for CEU for this course has not been completed at this time. The objectives include: • Discuss the process of embryologic development for the neuromuscular system • List the overlapping processes of fetal neuromuscular development • Define Auto regulation and describe how it is different in an infant • List the different types for neuromuscular assessment for the neonate • List strategies/interventions to minimize environmental stress in the term newborn • List some developmental principles to incorporate into daily care of the easily stressed or preterm infant
