How different is the course from "Lean" training and 6 Sigma training?
It is not different. Rapid cycle improvement was started during World War II. "Lean" and Six Sigma teach the same techniques as ABC Baylor.
Are Continuing Medical Education (CME)/Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits offered for ABC courses?
Yes. The course offers a maximum of 30.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsT and also offers 15 contact hours for CNE credit.
Is Continuing Education Credit offered for managers, registered health information administrators, social workers, and other health care professionals? If so, how many credits do I get?
Each of those specialties may have a mechanism to apply for credit through their organizations. We will gladly certify attendance if special forms are needed.

Can I make up a class?
We recommend that you take the classes in sequence but will consider make-ups on an individual basis in situations that are unavoidable. It is particularly important to take Session 1 first.
Are breakfast and lunch provided?
Yes. ABC Baylor will provide a continental breakfast and catered lunch each day of the presentation. If you have special meal requirements, please contact Vera Rodriguez, ABC Baylor Course Coordinator, at verar@baylorhealth.edu or at (972) 860-8416. Snacks will be available throughout the day in the back of the room.
What is the suggested attire?
Please feel free to dress comfortably for these classes. Business casual attire is appropriate if the class is on Thursday. Jeans would be acceptable on Fridays and Saturdays if you choose to wear them.
Can I bring my pager, cellular phone, electronic watch, or BlackBerry to class?
Please silence pagers, cellular phones, electronic watches, and BlackBerry devices to minimize distractions. Phones will be available for your use near the classroom.
