Nursing Research Council

The purpose of the Baylor Health Care System Nursing Research Council is to:

  • improve the quality of nursing care through the generation, utilization, and advancement of a scientific knowledge base for nursing practice;
  • develop individual Baylor nurses into research scholars; and
  • promote the presence of Baylor nursing research at the local, state and national level.

 

Members of the Nursing Research Council include:

  • Chair and chair-elect
  • Nurse coordinator, manager or director of BHCS hospital nursing research program
  • Staff nurses
  • Advanced practice nurses
  • Baylor doctoral students
  • Baylor nurses with doctoral degrees
  • Professional Educators Council
  • Nursing faculty
  • Executive Sponsor
  • Representatives from:
    • Baylor Research Institute
    • Institute for Health Care Research and Improvement
    • Human Resources
    • Decision Support Services
    • Office of Compliance
        • Office of Compliance
