Scientists and medical professionals at Baylor work to understand the origin of a disease, identify potential treatments or preventative therapies, and enroll patients in research trials. Today, Baylor is conducting 800 active research protocols with 250 research investigators, spanning more than 20 medical specialties, and has research frequently reported in major scientific publications as well as at national and international medical meetings.
