The Baylor Research Institute (BRI) Clinical Trials Office at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth serves as a comprehensive resource for initiating and conducting clinical trials for physicians and other investigators on the medical staff at Baylor hospitals and research centers. The office encourages research and assists investigators and representatives of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and device industries in navigating the complex research arena. BRI promotes and supports research that brings promising discoveries from the laboratory workbench to the patients’ bedside. Experienced in financial and regulatory compliance, the Clinical Trials Office is able to facilitate the placement of clinical trials at Baylor and usually expedite their initiation. Serving more than 1.4 million patients each year through a network of more than 230 access points, including 26 hospitals, 21 ambulatory surgery/endoscopy centers, 31 satellite outpatient locations and 131 HealthTexas Provider Network physician centers, the Baylor Health Care System offers a large and diverse pool of potential research participants.
The Clinical Trials Office benefits new and experienced investigators by assisting them in conducting research studies, managing research operations and improving operational efficiencies. The office hires and provides administrative space for research staff and assists the research team to ensure coverage when a research staff member is on leave. The Clinical Trials Office staff includes the medical director, director of clinical research, research manager, research nurses, clinical research coordinators and administrative staff.
