Baylor Research Institute (BRI), an affiliate of Baylor Health Care System is dedicated to research – focused on bringing research from the laboratory to patients.

Our research focuses on the patient. This means our efforts are more than microscopic studies – they bring research to the patient's bedside. We work to understand the base of a disease, identify potential treatments or preventive therapies, and enroll patients in research trials.
Established in 1982 in Dallas, Texas, Baylor Research Institute (BRI) promotes and supports research to bring innovative treatments from the laboratory workbench to the patient bedside. To achieve this bench-to-bedside concept, the institute focuses on basic science, clinical trials, and healthcare effectiveness and quality of care research. Investigators at Baylor are conducting more than 700 active research protocols spanning more than 20 medical specialties throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our history.

Pioneering and innovation in research are unique characteristics that BRI brings to North Texas communities. The institute identifies and pursues clinically relevant research opportunities aimed at improving health care. The results of the Institute's research-basic, applied and clinical care are reported in major scientific publications and at national and international medical meetings.
