The Genetic Counseling Program at the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center consists of board certified genetic counselors who provide education, hereditary cancer risk assessment, genetic counseling and genetic testing, and personalized surveillance and prevention options to patients who may have a genetic predisposition to cancer.
The counselors are able to work with patients with any personal or family history of cancer, including those with breast cancer, gynecological cancer, endocrine cancer, and gastrointestinal cancer. Additionally, they are able to counsel patients with other genetic conditions aside from those causing increased risks to develop cancer.
If you have any questions regarding the genetic counseling process, when it is appropriate to refer, or would like additional information, please contact our genetic counseling staff at 214.820.9600.
