Development of novel LC-MS/MS analytical methods for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of inherited metabolic diseases; specifically pediatric neurotransmitter diseases (PNDs), methylation defects and amino acidopathies).
Expansion of mass spectrometric targeted metabolomics focusing on new tests to identify PNDs and other disorders that affect neurotransmission and CNS function (i.e. Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and depression).
Targeted proteomics (Nanospray MS/SM) to determine specific protein markers and identify methylation and phosphorylation sites of amyloid and Tau proteins in transgenic models.
