Dr. Jacques Banchereau, Ph.D.
Jacques Banchereau, Ph.D. has been Director of Baylor Institute for Immunology Research since 1996 and serves as Co-Director of this grant. Dr. Banchereau has more than twenty years of experience in the field of cytokine biology and has published extensively in major journals on this subject. He has been directly involved in the cloning and characterization of many of the analytes available on the Luminex platform. His experience also extends to the field of clinical trials where he is director of ongoing trials in stage IV melanoma patients and healthy volunteers.
John E. Connolly, Ph.D.
John E. Connolly, Ph.D.is an Assistant Investigator, Director of the Luminex facility at the Baylor Institute for Immunology Research, and core facility Director of the U19 NIAID Center for Translational Research on Human Immunology and Biodefense. Dr. Connolly serves as Director of the core facility. He has considerable expertise in Luminex multiplex technology, fluorescent and laser confocal imaging, flow cytometry, protein production, purification and chemical conjugation as well as experience dealing with tissue samples from multiple clinical trials. Dr. Connolly is actively involved in the development and implementation of novel Luminex based technologies and has developed some of the data analysis approaches used routinely in the core.
