The Quantitative Sciences group includes biostatisticians and analysts who pursue clinically important research and offer their quantitative expertise in support of efforts to improve health care and operational processes across BHCS.

Quantitative Sciences

The Department of Quantitative Sciences within the Institute for Health Care Research and Improvement offers a wide array of services to Baylor Health Care System and other biomedical researchers. These services include biostatistical planning and analysis, survey design and analysis, and clinical trial study design. The department offers a “one stop shop” for investigators in meeting all of their quantitative research needs.

 

The goal of the Department of Quantitative Sciences is to positively impact basic, clinical, health services and quality improvement research efforts by providing innovative quantitative expertise in all phases of research endeavors and quality improvement initiatives. 

 

The Quantitative Sciences group, led by Edward B. De Vol, PhD, MBA, Vice President of Quantitative Sciences, comprises three groups that work together to provide a cohesive set of services.
