How to provide your patients with complete lung cancer care from one access point.
Opened in November 2005, the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Lung Cancer Center at Dallas takes a focused approach to lung cancer care management. Located at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, the Baylor Sammons Lung Cancer Center combines compassionate care from dedicated staff and a patient friendly, single entry point for those with suspected or diagnosed lung cancer.
Single entry point for care management - A nurse coordinator guides patients through various treatment appointments and support services offered.
Multidisciplinary care - Patients receive prompt and specialized care from a coordinated treatment team of pulmonologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and thoracic surgeons.
Personalized plan of care - As a result of this multidisciplinary approach, each patient receives a personalized plan of care and becomes well informed about diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Referring physicians are regularly kept apprised of their patient's progress.
Access to clinical trials - A wide range of clinical research trials may be accessed through the Baylor Sammons Lung Cancer Center.
