Thank you for your interest in our pathology program. The Pathology Residency Training Program at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas is committed to excellence. We are fully accredited by the ACGME to train 18 residents in total. The program is structured to provide strong education and experience in preparation for a pathology career in either an academic or a private practice setting. To carry out its objectives, the Residency Program emphasizes all aspects of practical hands-on training, didactic instruction, and clinicopathologic research. Under the supervision of the faculty, the resident physicians learn how to choose the appropriate techniques to study a specimen and then implement the procedures by which a diagnosis can be reached. The fully approved, comprehensive four-year program (AP and CP) includes structured rotations in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as elective time.
