Pulmonary and Critical Care Research

Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellows participate in at least one research project and deliver at least one presentation at one national meeting.

 

Clinical research opportunities are available in both the outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as the Seeger Surgical Simulation Center. Clinical research mentorship is under the supervision of Adam Mora, MD, FCCP, Associate Program Director, Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship.

 

Clinical research requires the successful completion of educational prerequisites from Baylor University Medical Center's institutional review board (IRB), as well as approval process of the IRB.

 

Current clinical research being conducted within the division includes:

  • End of life and palliative care perspectives
  • Grading of septic shock
  • BiPAP and delay in intubation
  • Role of albumin in septic shock
  • Code blue organization and training
