Application and Interview Process

Thoracic Surgery fellows are entirely selected through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP), using the internet-based electronic resident application system (ERAS).

Once registered, applications can be filed through ERAS. In addition to the application, please submit:

  • Medical school transcript
  • Minimum of three letters of recommendation

Deadline for receipt of the completed application is Feb. 28. All applications will be received through ERAS only.

Everyone accepted into a residency or fellowship program at Baylor Health Care System is required to successfully complete a background review and initial drug screening, which includes testing for the use of nicotine products. Effective Jan. 1, 2012, Baylor Health Care System and its affiliated entities will not hire individuals who test positive for the use of any nicotine products.
