Breast Oncology Surgery Fellowship

Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas department of surgery offers the Seeger Endowed Fellowship in Surgical Oncology of the Breast.

 

Physicians and surgeons on the medical staff at Baylor treat approximately 700 new breast cancer cases each year. Currently, two members of the surgery medical staff restrict their practices exclusively to diseases of the breast, and several others perform breast surgery. Fellows receive extensive education and experience in the gross and microscopic surgical pathology of tumors.

 

The Breast Imaging Center, located at the Baylor Sammons Cancer Center is a clinical and educational unit at the forefront of breast disease care. The center performs more than 50,000 mammograms each year and offers a wide variety of services, including:

  • Screening and diagnostic mammography
  • Digital mammography
  • Stereotactic needle biopsy
  • Breast disease treatment
  • Education
  • Multidisciplinary consultation
