Radiologic Sciences Program
Where quality technology, compassion, education and reputation come together.
Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas (BUMC), the flagship hospital of the Baylor Health Care System is the sponsoring institution of the Radiologic Sciences Program. BUMC celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2003, and the Radiologic Sciences Program has been in existence for more than 50 of those years. Throughout the program's existence, students have received outstanding academic and clinical education in an environment that supports quality technology, compassion, and reputation.

The Program is a full-time, hospital-based program offering a certificate of completion after meeting all academic achievement and clinical requirements. The Program lasts 21 months, beginning annually in August. Classroom and clinical hours range from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. On limited occasions, students may be scheduled for clinical rotations in the evenings or weekends

Upon successful completion of the Program, graduates are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination. After passing this examination, the graduate is nationally recognized as a professional in the imaging sciences and carries the certification
of R.T. (R).

The mission statement of the Radiologic Sciences Program:
The Baylor University Medical Center Radiologic Sciences Program's mission is to develop entry-level professionals in the field of radiologic sciences.
