Resident Life
 
Call Room
•  Two separate sleep rooms, two couches, library, TV entertainment center, conference room, kitchenette, personal lockers and shower
•  In their free time, residents may sleep, watch TV, study (huge selection of books/references), or play darts

Retreat
•  Held twice a year in April and October in a beautiful East Texas bed and breakfast
•  During this time, residents are excused from hospital and clinic duties for a day and a half
•  Attending physicians covers hospital and clinic duties during retreat
•  Opportunity for orientation and discussion of resident issues
•  Activities include recreation, orientation and team building

Post-Match Party
•  Previous activities have included bowling, dining, dancing
•  Attended by residents, families, and faculty

Orientation Party
•  Held in July to welcome incoming interns
•  Attended by residents, families, faculty and office staff
•  Families are encouraged to attend

Oktoberfest
•  Recruitment season launch celebration held at a retreat center
•  Composed of group activities, games, skits, and food
•  Attended by residents, faculty and office staff
