Baylor University Medical Center’s vascular and interventional radiology fellowship program provides comprehensive training in all aspects of vascular and non-vascular intervention, and diagnostic angiography. Our division performs more than 3,000 interventional procedures and 2,600 diagnostic angiograms each year.
Fellows will gain experience in performing such procedures as Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS) creation, vascular stent placement, stent-grafts, transluminal angioplasty, atherectomy, thrombolysis, embolization, chemoembolization, biliary drainage, biliary stent placement, stone extraction, abscess drainage, biopsies, gastrojejunostomy catheter placement, and a variety of urological interventional procedures. Research opportunities are available.
We have five angiographic suites, including three brand-new, state-of-the-art facilities, and a full-time staff of dedicated interventional radiologists.
