Application Requirements

In addition to the completed application, please submit the following items:

•  Two (2) letters of recommendation from full-time radiology faculty members.
•  An official medical school transcript
•  A brief paragraph describing your:

Reason for interest in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Training expectations
Future practice expectations

•  A current curriculum vitae
•  Internship and residency certificates
•  A photograph

Please feel free to enclose any additional information, which might be pertinent to your application.

Fellowship Applications will be accepted from September 1st to November 1st of each year.  Interviews will begin on October 1 and extend no later than the week before Thanksgiving.



Appointment of Housestaff-Eligibility

Applicants with one of the following qualifications are eligible for appointment to either ACGME-accredited or TSBME or ADA approved programs:

•  Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).

•  Graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

•  Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada (International Medical Graduates - IMGs) who meet the following qualifications:

Have received a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates prior to appointment.
Have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US licensing jurisdiction in which they are training.
Possess a Green card or procure a J-1 visa.

H1B visas are not sponsored by BUMC for Housestaff training; Baylor sponsors only J-1 visas for housestaff training.

 

•  Graduates of medical schools outside the United States who have completed a Fifth Pathway program provided by an LCME-accredited medical school.

•  Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the (LCME) who are not United States citizens who meet the following qualifications:

Have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US licensing jurisdiction in which they are training.
Possess a Green card or procure a J-1 visa.
